Since I might as well use my website from time to time, I have uploaded the speech I gave yesterday at my son’s bris. You can find it here.
I’m pleased to announce that my first published short story, We Were Once of the Sky, which was published in Beneath Ceaseless Skies in 2014, is now available in audio from StarShipSofa!

I wrote an article exploring the differences between translations and commentaries of the Torah that Orthodox Jews use in the synagogue. I argue that a new translation and commentary is needed. Check out the piece at the Lehrhaus:
My latest short story, “A Future Far Too Bright,” is now available to read for free at Clarkesworld Magazine. Check it out here:
It’s about a boy and his dad–and how a time machine affects their relationship.
I had the idea for the story several years ago, but it took me a long time to get around to writing it. I’m so pleased that I was able to sell it to Clarkesworld.
I finally decided to create a website. I’ve thought about blogging for years, but never actually got around to it. I recently sold a short story, and as I was writing a bio, I thought it would be nice to have a link to a website.
I doubt I will blog regularly, but I will update my publications and add lecture source sheets from time to time.
Please take a look around. I think you will find that this site reflects my rather eclectic set of interests.
I am leaving the default picture of the ocean courtesy of WordPress because it looks nice.
